British Basketball chief joins BOA board

The Chief Executive of GB Basketball has been appointed to the board of the British Olympic Association. The BOA held their elections at the National Olympic Committee Meeting earlier today. Lisa Wainwright was appointed alongside David Joy (Canoeing), whilst Sarah Treseder (Sailing) was reappointed. BOA Chairman, Sir Hugh Robertson said: "Both Lisa and David will bring considerable experience across a range of Olympic sports to the newly constituted Board. "We are delighted they will be joining us at an exciting time for the Olympic movement in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang 2018 nearly upon us and with our planning already at an advanced stage for Tokyo 2020. "Sarah Treseder has played an integral role at Board level in the successful governing of the BOA and we are pleased to retain her services as a sports representative with considerable business and corporate experience.

Chelsea and Man United stars clash in 2k18 showdown

Chelsea goalkeeper  Thibaut Courtois  proved he was a safe pair of hands once again, as he beat Timothy Fosu-Mensah (Crystal Palace, on loan from Manchester United), in the second semi-final of the NBA 2K18 Celebrity Gaming Tournament! The Chelsea keeper, playing as the Boston Celtics, beat Fosu-Mensah's  San Antonio Spurs 39-23. It means he faces Arsenal defender Rob Holding in the final. Courtois discussed his passion for the NBA after the game: “ I don’t really have a team. I know a few players at the Lakers and at the Knicks, so I like to follow the players I really know well.
