New logo for NBA 2K League

The NBA 2K League have unveiled their new logo. The logo incorporates the colour and shape of the NBA logo but uses the font from the NBA 2K franchise. The 17 teams in the league have also unveiled their logos. A basketball was selected as the centerpiece as "it represents the common thread between all NBA 2K players." The logos were designed by branding agency RARE Design of Hattiesburg.

Phoenix centre Gettys named Player of the month.

Cheshire Phoenix star CJ Gettys has been named Molten BBL Player of the Month for November. The centre has guided Phoenix to three wins from their five games during the month and averaged a spectacular November double-double. He amassed 20 points and 11.2 rebounds per game with 30 boards to his name, he also fired 56% from the field. Gettys only made his BBL debut in September but is already looking a great addition to the squad.

Riders star Hayward named player of the month

Leicester Riders guard Deanne Hayward has been crowned Molten WBBL Player of the Month. The Scot was part of the Riders team that had a perfect November. Hayward has been on fire with 18 points per game returning 60% from the field and was second in the WBBL from behind the three-point line. She was also the best free-throw shooter and recorded 3.7 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. Riders’ coach Krumesh Patel was also named the Molten WBBL Coach of the Month.

Lions' Karol named Coach of the month

London Lions' Mariusz Karol has been named Molten BBL Coach of the Month for November. The Lions have had a flawless run, going 3-0 throughout the month. Lions started off with an 86-70 victory against Glasgow Rocks at the Copper Box, following it up with a pair of road wins. The first came at Plymouth Raiders with a 75-70 success and they then picked up a tight 67-63 triumph at Bristol Flyers. Karol fought off stiff competition from Rob Paternostro of Leicester Riders who also went 3-0 during November. There were less games in the month due to GB fixtures taking place.

Wolves' Director hopeful of final place

Worcester Wolves’ Managing Director Mick Donovan hopes the team can reward fans’ loyalty with a Final day out as he looks ahead to this week’s BBL Cup clash. The University of Worcester-owned side prepares to face Sheffield Sharks for a place in the final in Birmingham. Donovan said: "We are very proud and appreciative of our loyal fans and this season has seen record breaking home attendances compared to previous seasons. "The fans have a good understanding of the game and, regardless of results and performances, they continue to approach each game with a positive mindset and get behind the team.  "There is certainly a feeling of cup fever in the Worcester Wolves basketball camp this week.  Everyone at the Club would love to see Wolves make the prestigious final in Birmingham and the players in particular will be determined to reward the fans and club volunteers with a semi-final win that would bring a great Cup Final day out.  I am sure that if we

Chelsea 'keeper Courtois downs Rob Holding on 2k18

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was too hot to handle as he won the NBA 2K18 Celebrity Gaming Tournament Final. Courtois had beaten Crystal Palace stars Mamadou Sakho and Timothy Fosu-Mensah on the way to the final where he faced off with Arsenal defender Rob Holding. Holding himself had seen off Arsenal teammate Nacho Monreal and England rugby star Owen Farrell to reach the final. The Chelsea goalkeeper elected to play as the Golden State Warriors, with the Arsenal defender selecting the Cleveland Cavaliers, in a rematch of the last three years of NBA Finals. As in the previous rounds, NBA legend Gary Payton oversaw the contest.  After an incredibly hard-fought match, it was Courtois who was crowned the Champion of the NBA 2K18 Celebrity Gaming Tournament, as his Golden State Warriors team sealed a 39-22 victory over Rob Holding’s Cavaliers, with the Belgian awarded a special NBA2K18 Championship ring to commemorate his victory.   Following his win, Court

Worcester sign GB International Gilchrist

Worcester Wolves have signed Great Britain star Robert Gilchrist on a temporary contract. The 6ft 9in power forward made his debut in yesterday's fixture against Plymouth Raiders, as the Wolves climbed above their opponents in the BBL standings. Gilchrist scored 14 points, with 8 rebounds on his first outing. Paul James, Wolves Head Coach, said: “We are delighted to have secured the services of such a high quality player as Robert Gilchrist. Even though this is a short term solution, we have a very hectic December schedule and this will bolster our squad while we look for a permanent fixture.” Gilchrist joins the Wolves after playing at Spanish side Araberri last season in the Liga Española de Baloncesto Oro, the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league, where he averaged 6.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He played for his country at under 18 and under 20 level and made his senior debut against New Zealand during 2015, scoring 12 point

Plymouth secure Bishop Fleming tie up

The Plymouth Raiders have announcrf a new partnership with finance firm Bishop Fleming. Bishop Fleming will provide ongoing accounting support for the club along with strategic financial advice to the directors as part of the exclusive deal.
