As the basketball world prepares for the start of the NBA season in late October, we look ahead to what fans across the world can expect from the 2015-2016 season. The anticipation has been steadily rising throughout the year, with a number of multimillion dollar free agent signings and a dramatic shift in coaching positions, it is a guarantee that teams will have a fresh new look in expectation of the new season. 2014, sees the inaugural Invictus Games seeing servicemen compete in a number of sports including wheelchair basketball at the Copper Box Arena. In 16 days time, International sport returns to the site of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games in a tournament championed by Prince Harry. Formerly in the Royal Navy, AJ Pingram has an interesting story of how he got involved in the games, despite having picked up a basketball to participate just once before. Pingram grew up with the Royal Navy in his blood having had servicemen in his family and explains the story behind his participation in the games. He said: "I haven't done any sport for years, until I went to a Cheshire Phoenix wheelchair basketball session, when I applied for tickets for the games, they asked me if I was ex-forces, I said yes, they asked if I was disabled, I said yes, they asked if I played disability sport and I said wheelchair basketball. Image via Twitter The 2013/14 season was a massive success for the Worcester Wolves, fighting for top spot in the BBL ladder and winning the BBL Trophy and play-offs. The Wolves have lost Zaire Taylor to BBL opponents London Lions but will be hoping to continue last seasons successes.  The Worcester side signed up Robert Thurman having been recommended to the team by former player Will Creekmore.  Thurman said: "He [Will] spoke to me one day and said that he had a team I'd be interested in and how awesome it is to be in Worcester - he sold me on the idea immediately. "I was born and raised in a military family, so i'm used to moving around often, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm expecting that the team won't rely on me but will need me to play big minutes, there will be pressure on me to perform early on." We've previewed the new BBL season for every team and now we have the chance to speak to the current voice of the BBL ;  Daniel Routledge. Routledge has commented on the BBL for Sky Sports and will be headed into the new season as the host of BBL TV's game coverage. The commentator and general basketball personality, thinks that this season will be more competitive at the top of the BBL. The 2013 Eurobasket tournament is taking place in three weeks in Slovenia with the first games taking place on September 4th. Having won two Eurobasket's in a row, Spain go into the tournament as heavy favourites with France a close second, GB sadly are one of the least fancied teams in the tournament with many of the big names unavailable.
