This fundraising is aiming to take £100,000 but should we take anywhere near our target it will prove that there is support for the sport, while also raising a bit for the sport in the UK. The women's wheelchair basketball team appointed a new coach recently, hoping to build on recent successes and challenge at the next Paralympic games. Miles Thompson comes into the fold having worked with the US national team and will be hoping to lead GB to medals at the Paralympics in Brazil. British Wheelchair Basketball's Performance Director Paul Davies believes that the sport is moving in the right direction under the new coach. He said: "London was very, very big, the crowd, the level of support, not just in the park but across the country the profile of the sport is higher as it has ever been." "We only came 7th in London and we were disappointed with the results but not the performance, we've retained the gold medal at the Europeans." France, Russia and Turkey all have good chances to win the tournament but we will as always be focusing on Team GB. The team will need to give it 100% with a group including the tournament hosts France, Serbia and Latvia. The betting odds on success for Team GB are slim, with Bet365 giving the team the WORST odds of getting through any group. The LGBT side Slam Dunkin' Divas are set for a tournament in Manchester to host the first women's LGBT tournament featuring five sides from teams including one from France. The Divas' are based in Manchester and will be part of the Pride Games which see's the teams face-off in multiple matches and a 3-point contest. Georgia Tsakiri is the assistant manager of the club and see's this as an exciting time for the team. She said: 'It's basically a very big step forward for us, we've competed in smaller tournaments organised by the league in Manchester but this tournament will also have teams from outside of Manchester. 'As a club we are trying to promote the sport especially among the female population, this tournament is putting the spotlight on the sport.' 'There will be a lot of LGBT women attending so it is encouraging the inclusion of LGBT people within the sport.' The full interview with Georgia can be heard below:

Team GB women's basketballer Jo Leedham has spoken FIBA about female British basketball and believes there is no pressure on the team. Leedham said: 'I believe we have created a culture that people respect and now people don't look forward to playing against us.' 'We have to keep this brand alive and if we keep doing what we are doing we should be able to keep moving forward.' 'Pressure is only on us if we put it there, I don't think there is any need for us to worry about pressure to succeed.'
