How the Bristol Bisons came to be

In 2012 2 girls met at a Wheelchair Basketball Club they made a good friendship and became close, after a few months one girl left and they lost contact for a while, more months past and they started talking through Facebook again they arranged a meet in 2013 December 
Jade and Chrissy the 2 girls met up before Xmas with their parents going along, they talked laughed and joked and dreamed of a Club of they're own after time slipped by that night they left and went home jades mum Angela sat and thought that night about the girls and they're dream and decided to go to work on creating the dream for these girls - within 2weeks Bristol Bisons was transformed from paper to reality in February 2014 Bristol Bisons Wheelchair Basketball Club was ready to start on March 8th 2014 we held our first Session which included Jade, Chrissy and Amber jades sister just 3 players within 19 months our dream has become larger than life we have 2 Division 4 Teams and a Women's Team being entered into this seasons league games. From the start we self funded I spoke to British Wheelchair Basketball and loaned chairs for us to be able to take sessions each week, I secured a venue for us at Hengrove Leisure Centre and we grew to where we are now.
we still self fund through our committee who each pay a percentage of the court hire/venue fee and we desperately need funding for our own chairs as we share our chairs with Bath University but we are still holding sessions each week with a satellite club due to start with Bridge learning campus a a School local to us in October this year. We have done several events and just keep getting bigger,
We have 24+ players now and are very proud of our achievements so far our need is funding for chairs and hall hire.

Wolves' Director hopeful of final place

Worcester Wolves’ Managing Director Mick Donovan hopes the team can reward fans’ loyalty with a Final day out as he looks ahead to this week’s BBL Cup clash. The University of Worcester-owned side prepares to face Sheffield Sharks for a place in the final in Birmingham. Donovan said: "We are very proud and appreciative of our loyal fans and this season has seen record breaking home attendances compared to previous seasons. "The fans have a good understanding of the game and, regardless of results and performances, they continue to approach each game with a positive mindset and get behind the team.  "There is certainly a feeling of cup fever in the Worcester Wolves basketball camp this week.  Everyone at the Club would love to see Wolves make the prestigious final in Birmingham and the players in particular will be determined to reward the fans and club volunteers with a semi-final win that would bring a great Cup Final day out.  I am sure that i...

New logo for NBA 2K League

The NBA 2K League have unveiled their new logo. The logo incorporates the colour and shape of the NBA logo but uses the font from the NBA 2K franchise. The 17 teams in the league have also unveiled their logos. A basketball was selected as the centerpiece as "it represents the common thread between all NBA 2K players." The logos were designed by branding agency RARE Design of Hattiesburg.
