Mike Vigor has penned a new one-year deal with the Bristol Flyers, with an option to extend for a further year. The Australian forward returns for his third season in the BBL, after joining the Flyers in June 2016 following a one-year spell with the Plymouth Raiders. Born in Aberdeen, Vigor made 33 appearances last season, averaging 9.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. "There's just a really good feeling around the club," Vigor told bristolflyers.co.uk. "The fact that they have a three-to-five year plan shows there's some really exciting times ahead. "We want to be a powerhouse club. We don't want to just make it into the play-offs anymore - we see ourselves as a top four team in the years to come." GB basketball legend and former captain Drew Sullivan has retired from the sport of basketball. The two time MVP and the Great Britain Olympic Captain has announced his retirement from basketball as one of the most successful player in BBL history.  Sullivan played in over 300 BBL games in his 12 seasons of play in the BBL as well as time in Europe throughout his career. Worcester Wolves Basketball Club have announced the re-signing of Ashton Khan for his third season with the team. Khan first joined the Wolves for the 2015–16 campaign and last season, averaged eight points and three assists per game for the University of Worcester-owned side The  6ft 1in guard,  says he hopes to help the team - which went on a 12-game winning streak in the second half of the season - finish what it started last time around. Leslee Smith has become the second player to sign a one-year extension with the Bristol Flyers. The British Virgin Islands international, who joined the club from Olimpi Tbilisi last summer, has now committed until the end of the 2017/18 season. Prior to playing in the top flight in Georgia, Smith played NCAA Division One basketball at Nebraska in the 'Big Ten' conference. "It feels really good to be back next season," Smith told bristolflyers.co.uk. "Bristol Flyers are a special club - last season was just our third year in the BBL and it's the second time we've made it to the play-offs. "We've been flying under the radar over the past few years so I think this season is the one to really make some noise in this league."
